During our stay over the Christmas holidays, we enjoyed the tasty freshly cooked breakfast that was served with a friendly conversation. Also, we appreciated the clean and comfortable accommodation with a distinctive farmhouse charm. Another highlight of our stay was the fact that the property was well situated for visiting nearby attractions like Holy Island, Bamburgh castle and more. it was a nice getaway that offered a peaceful and relaxing rural experience.
The place did have some drawbacks, one of which was that the decor was slightly outdated. Also, there was no en-suite bathroom, but only a shared one that wasn't explicitly mentioned in the advertisement. Another downside was that the property was quite far from the local towns, pubs or restaurants, so we ended up taking a long walk to go to the only options at hand. However, if you have a car, this wouldn't be an issue.
